nothing really cures the ache living in a world like this nothing really fills that rage of living in a world like this nothing really distracts us enough from living in a world like this nothing really numbs you out from living in a world like this and the angels that exist and take care of the people that We Know died a long long time ago and the people in the streets know the dreadful fantasy that everything fine Is gone inundated With solutions that just aren’t good enough everything feels empty living in a world like this everything feels stone cold living in a world like this everything feels broken living in a world like this everything feels hopeless living in a world like this the people that we see In very sparse crowds look like they’ve lost their way now the trust we used to have that life loved us back abandoned us so long ago we hold onto our memories as they start to fade they get farther and harder to remember and the birds cry in empty parks the dust piles up under clean carpets the wind blows fast in a mundane century cars drive fast through gray landscapes tired eyes still find a way to smile our ties to eachother are stronger than we are our ties to eachother are stronger than we are i’m tired of living in a world like this there is no living in a world like this shut out from living In a world like this

teenager 06:12
remember...you were pressured into having sex again they made you hug the guy at 9th and 1st for a camel you were a dove with dirty feathers now, you’re cleaned up, but you don’t see...yourself you lived a makeshift life but you pushed all that down for good and you intellectualize every blurb of thought passing through your mind you know you’re tired you see it in your eyes remember... you ran from the police as a teenager you ran from your parents as a teenager you ran from your friends as a teenager you ran into lovers you ran from the others and all you ever wanted was to not be told all the things you thought you already knew and you can’t remember what anybody told you adadadadada remember...your body in the park all night, no going home you’re lying on the concrete, hoping you’re not dying here comes the siren, that's not for you you know you’re an orphan and you’ve made the world your orphan too you know you’re tired you see it in your eyes remember... you ran from the police as a teenager you ran from your parents as a teenager you ran from your friends as a teenager you ran into lovers you ran from the others and all you ever wanted was to not be told all the things you thought you already knew and you can’t remember what anybody told you adadadadada walking in the park with mommy they said you were a special child well they say that to everybody everybody knows you are a child you know you’re tired you see it in your eyes remember... you ran from the police as a teenager you ran from your parents as a teenager you ran from your friends as a teenager you ran into lovers you ran from the others and all you ever wanted was to not be told all the things you thought you already knew and you can’t remember what anybody told you adadadadada

breakdown 04:02
When was the last time you truly felt exhilarated and free? Personally it was when I was a teenager, before this period of the world began. I would like to feel this way again someday and under the current circumstances of the world it is looking pretty bleak We dont know where to find that voice, a semblance, a piece of when you were young, when your eyes were crushing probes looking towards the future Someone put windows in cement walls to look out on cement buildings Someone put plastic cars on highways to look out at pruned forests The earth rots under frozen leadership The sun comes up over techno music In corners of basements and underneath bridges We’re just looking for a break from the breakdown I was a child with an ache in my chest Youth culture and plastic interactions Im just trying to get by while the world breaks down When the past dies, but the symbology remains, the present can't live up to its past Pale skies weep for the world’s music and its songs Trying to unravel in a fashionable way I had hoped to end up a new person All the pastel ads are begging to uproot me. The earth rots under frozen leadership The sun comes up over techno music In corners of basements and underneath bridges We’re just looking for a break from the breakdown The earth rots under frozen leadership The sun comes up over techno music In corners of basements and underneath bridges We’re just looking for a break from the breakdown

We lay down in my white blanket Talking about our crushed up pain That blinds us from the present Cause we’re so worried about the future We run through midtown and the upper east side Making fun of the boring buildings That make us feel small and alone And asleep while walking We peer through holes In construction sites Hoping to find something Real Crushed by A thousand fears at once We take shelter Under pillows in heated rooms Gusts of wind Throw punches At our dreams Everyday At 5pm Dominic Lenox: Dusk In The City I know that when the twilight rises upon the sky it is time to go I miss it, I love the outside world where nothing can bother me, nothing The buildings and streets are lonesome, they hate it when the darkness hits them Hoping to replace lost time We dance on weekends And drink lots of beer We can make stories about strangers And bask in uncomfortable situations In hopes to fulfill a promise That life is not a boring episode We get dressed up With lipstick on And straightened hair To be self conscious in public If we didn’t do that, we would have nothing. Crushed by A thousand fears at once We take shelter Under pillows in heated rooms Gusts of wind Throw punches At our dreams Everyday At 5pm

All skylines look the same I don’t feel anything when I look at them And mountains, they’re up so high but I feel nothing when I see all those houses Things crept into my head I was sleeping under my manic bedspread Do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do Cause when I’m stuck inside a hole It’s hard to find things beautiful While the boys and the girls and their plastic pearls party hop in a plastic world It’s hard to find things beautiful It’s hard to find things beautiful I fall asleep while walking Down the trails of Central Park And I hear voices That I cannot shut off And the voices tell me That there is no love And my heart closes up I give up Cause when I’m stuck inside a hole It’s hard to find things beautiful While the boys and the girls and their perfume curls Are serious about their modern world It’s hard to find things beautiful It’s hard to find things beautiful Cause when I’m stuck inside a hole It’s hard to find things beautiful While the boys and the girls and their modern world Are serious about their perfume curls It’s hard to find things beautiful It’s hard to find things beautiful
